At a meeting of the committee on 29th April 2017 it was proposed and agreed to convert part of the bar area (next to the lounge) into a self contained kitchenette for the lounge. The idea for this project is that if there are functions in both the lounge and main hall, there would be no need to share the main kitchen. It is hoped the work will be carried out sometime in June.
12th June 2017 - the construction of the new kitchenette for the lounge started today and is expected to take 5 days to complete. The builder, Matt Chidgey, is working round any group using the lounge so that there is minimal disruption

These can be taken down to the hall on Friday 18th between 2 - 4pm or Saturday 19th between 9 - 11am.

10th April 2018 - The CCTV system has now been upgraded to full HD quality and complies with the new GDPR compliance which comes into law in May 2018. Additional cameras have now been fitted internally and externally in strategic areas. Some of these cameras have been enabled to record sound. The work was carried out by Coomber Security (Taunton).
14th May 2018 - A new (wall mounted) baby changing unit has been installed in the disabled toilet
in the main entrance foyer.
11th July 2018 - The Wild Flower Meadow
The wild flower seeds planted in the late spring have burst into life over the past few weeks. They have been appreciated by a large number of villagers and non-villagers. If you are passing, take a look. Next year, the area will be extended all the way up to the top corner of the car park. - A few photos take today
